I created a game that collected no data whatsoever so I did not include  a privacy terms and conditions, but than I received an email from google that I must have a privacy policy for a game that requires phone state.  Since I have similar game on the play store(this one without ads) I assume that enhance requires Phone State. If this is true is there a provided privacy policy template with the exact requirements that enhance has?

Hi Lobotomy,

The SDKs that Enhance adds will almost certainly require some permissions, as well as a privacy policy under Google's new rules regarding them. The rules they have put in place are likely to affect the inclusion of any ad or analytics SDK, which means the majority of Enhance's current offerings will require a privacy policy to be added. We're working on an easy solution similar to what you described, to be made available before Google's deadline of Jan 31st.

You would run into the same issue if you were to add the SDKs yourself, unfortunately - however, we hope that adding an easy way to sort out your privacy policy will be another advantage of using Enhance to integrate your SDKs :)

So what should be the solution? I am facing the same problem with my latest game.

Hey mottata,

We're still working on this from our end. I'll post back with news as soon as we have it.

Thanks!

Ok! Thanks Dave! I hope it will be soon, cause it's now impossible to publish enhanced app to Google Play.

Also, you could link to a Terms and Conditions page.

As Dave mentioned, we're working on a way to allow you to manage your permissions, but in the meantime a very easy fix is to link to a general ToC (you can find sites that will generate these for you online).

Hi, I Just uploaded an enhanced game to Google Play, and came across the same message.  Ticked the box in the privacy policy settings that stated " Not submitting a privacy policy URL at this time." and clicked publish.  Wrote and uploaded a privacy policy, only to find that the game was published by the time i logged back in to Google Play to update the listing !!, So it seems you can publish without the Policy in place for the time being - despite the message appearing stating that you cant.

Thanks for the input Penry. It'd be good if anyone can post back here with the experiences too so we can get a better gauge of the situation!

Google Play:

"Policy issue: Google Play requires developers to provide a valid privacy policy when the app requests or handles sensitive user or device information. Your app requests sensitive permissions (e.g. camera, microphone, accounts, contacts, or phone) or user data, but does not include a valid privacy policy."

"Please resolve this issue by March 15, 2017, or administrative action will be taken to limit the visibility of your app, up to and including removal from the Play Store. Thanks for helping us provide a clear and transparent experience for Google Play users."

I have seen developers have success with this site: http://www.iubenda.com/en

However, it's not free.
