Using Enhance in Cordova/Phonegap

Hi guys,

I used Enhance in one of our HTML5 Phaser games a while back but had to create a plugin for it to be able to work.  Someone has recently asked me how I got it to work, so I made the plugin public..

<plugin name="com.fgl.enhance.cordova" spec="1.0.0" source="pgb" />
This was added to my xml file.

You can do a search for Enhance on Phonegap plugins and it should pop up...

Dont know if this will help anyone in the future, or if it even still works with the new Enhance stuff... But if FGL want to take over and add their own plugin that they could keep up to date, that would be appreciated :)

Thanks for setting this up and pointing it out to us.

Enhance 2.0 which was released recently actually won't work with this plugin, so it might be best now to disable it or hide it from the Phonegap plugins repository until we can get official support implemented. We're actively working on platform support now so soon we should have a phonegap connector to release on the official plugins site.

Are you able to transfer ownership of the existing plugin package to us so we can keep it up to date once we have a new version?

Ok, well it worked for my first game when Enhance first came out :) But if it doesn't work for Enhance 2 I will remove it from the Phonegap Repository..

I look forward to seeing a new plugin added soon..

It was me who asked you that question.. And yes according to Luke the new enhace.jar file have some modified functions so old plugin will not work. I have updated the plugin and its working perfectly for me... I'll clone the repo and add new files till FGL makes an official plugin.

I can't say exactly how long until it is released.  It is getting closer.  It's something we are excited to release.

Though we haven't released support just yet, there are still Zero Code options that will work for you!

You can also add persistent banners with ZeroCode.

We're sorry for the delay on this, we found further issues during testing that lead to it going into another development cycle - however, it is getting very close to release as FGL_Rozek said, and we're really excited to get it out there!

I tried - but the resulting apk crashes instantly on all test devices :(

I'm guessing something in the Cocoon exported apk is not playing nicely with whatever enhance is doing

I guess I'll just wait for the properly supported plugin
