Convert Flash SWF to Android APK

I found these web sites

http://www.apkgen.com/

http://www.swiftapk.com/

that look like an online converter for flash games to Android apk. It is a free service and wrap the apk with ads that makes a revenue for the developer. Anyone has ever tried this? Is it a reliable service or a fake?

If it is not reliable, is there a way to create an apk from a flash game so it can be played on an Android device (without a flash player installed)?

Thanks.

Just use Adobe Air.

You need to change aspect ratio for multiple resolutions and optimize art for mobile devices. This is only way to make android apps using flash if your goal is make hight quality game.

im sure those services will just use air behind the scenes....

To do it you need to get the air sdk: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/air/air-sdk-download.html and the android sdk: http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html

and then use adt to convert: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/air/build/WS901d38e593cd1bac1e63e3d128fc240122-8000.html

You will need to make a p12 certificate also - google how to make one

The commaned will be something like...
C:\Dev\AIRSDK\bin\adt -package -target apk-captive-runtime -storetype pkcs12 -keystore "C:\dev\yourcertificate.p12" -storepass [certificatePassword] Game.apk game-app.xml Game.swf icon36.png icon48.png icon72.png
or just use Adobe CS6+ and you can export APK directly from Flash IDE.. (you can also create there p12 etc).

Go straight for CS6+. It's simple and you have a lot of control.

I think he meant from SWF > APK. If you have the FLA you can of course simply export to Android. But if you only have a SWF it is harder to produce a good working game. Even if you decompile, it will still be a big mess.

Download the AIR SDK, compile in air, connect to an android device.
