I was thinking for a product in my game that I could hide ads at the cost of a one-time purchase item.  However, I was wondering if this could be done with the integrated FGLAds through GamerSafe.

A wonderful idea! Wait to see if they log in before you show the ad. If they log in and own the item, don't show the ad. You'll get either EVT_AUTO_LOGIN_FAILED or EVT_LOGIN shortly after EVT_BEGIN_SESSION.

I thought that enabling the ads through GamerSafe triggered ads automatically, if I have to run extra code to show them that works perfectly.

A side question... how much should one charge for such an item?  We were thinking of something in the range of 600-800 GamerGold but we're not sure if that would be too expensive...

You never really answered my question... how do i "not show the ad"?  Do I have to use both the GamerSafe and FGLAds classes in my code and do the FGLAds manually?

Crap! That was horrible of me. I forgot the 'email followups' button. I should check the forum manually more often.

It does occur to me after having read this that yes, you would want to use the FGLAds lib alongside GS. GS doesn't really provide any detailed ad controls. I should change that.
