It failed to show that it failed... but then succeeded in showing that it failed to show that it failed?

That's a lot of fail, right there!

In the hotline of my firm, they have a magical word to describe an error:

PIBCAK

"Problem Is Between Chair And Keyboard"

these kind of messages are horrible when you did'nt saved recently ( <15 minutes ) because when there is a crash, you can't do much about it,  incremental saves are awesome

I am getting this error every time I compile some of my older project for the second time. I have to restart Flashdevelop :(

It's because of flex sdk isn't compatible with java 7.

+ to what Antriel said.

Answering your question, it is Java runtime error. It occurs in standard methods like like "Array.sort", if custom method that compares two objects does not behave properly and violates the contract specified in the interface. I.e. if in some situations it says that a < b, then on the second run returns that a > b.

I've always wanted to make a little virus app thing that you load onto someone's computer, and then update a twitter feed or something to call error messages at any time. It'd be great for at meetings and stuff.

My IDE crashes about once every two days. First my laptop beeps then about 2 mins later the screen goes off. I have no idea what causes it but it most frequently occurs when I'm messing around with timelines. Nuts.

Error: null

Build halted with errors.

-> to reproduce in FlashDevelop, have this method:

public function f(a:int):void {
      a:int=a+1;
}

Every second time you compile, the error changes to "Classes cannot be nested"
