Everyone has gear they laugh about, not sure what to think about or simply hide from their peers in embarrassment.  What you may think is awesome, they may think is crap. Or, vice versa.  You decide. Go ahead and lets see some of the gear you own, that maybe, well, you laugh at or get laughed at for owning.  You may be surprised what people may say. If you have an oddity, go ahead and post it!

BAD: Boss Hyper Metal - I asked for it for Christmas and got it. It's actually cooler than the Metal Zone, because its hyper!

 Boss Hyper Metal

The Good / Oddity - Smokey Mini Amp - The same size as a pack of cigarettes and can power a 4x12 cab!  This little thing is awesome. I havent tried recording with it yet.... yet, however it sounds cool through the built in speaker and through a 4x12.  Its great to plug in and just sit on the couch and jam.

Lil Smokey

Not sure about the goodness/badness, but here's some probably ugly and embarrassing gear that still gets used from time to time:

Is everyone else that embarrassed of their gear or is your gear so awesome that it will embarrass us?

Probably the only thing I own and actually use that is embarrassing.  Even 16 year old me thought it looked silly when I got it.

I almost got one of those a while back. It looks like a fun guitar to rock on stage.

It's not a cracked mirror finish, so you have that going for you.

It's easily the most uncomfortable guitar I've ever played. The strap hangs very oddly, at least on me. Now it's just around for bedroom shreds. Cool

I dunno, I kinda want one of those Firemen, which is basically a reverse Iceman.

This thread inspired me to pull it out and play it again. It's not nearly as bad as I seem to remember. I've had a difficult relationship with this one :P.

This is a topic should be bumped.  It's been a few years.  Someone has to have acquired a piece of gear they are embarrassed of.

The Good. (that no one these days would think was good. or probably even know how to use)

This little guy is a forgotten gem.  If you want to learn how to get a good sound..... use this.  It's essentially mic, volume and GO.

I have rocked a few good demo's from this little guy.  It introduced me to the world of digital recording.  I used to have a 4 track tape version to with....OMG What is that?..... Cassettes?!?!?!  That actually helped me quite a bit with getting into recording and furthering my band at the times career.

I picked these up when I used to have a deal with EV about 10 years ago.

The Cardinal isn't bad, the 468 is kinda like a 57.  Pretty cool.

Ever used these?
